uncircumcised penis... curious.

My penis is uncircumcised. I haven't had preblems pulling the skin back, which is good. I'm curious about something though. The stretchy part (the frenulum I think it's called) is red at the tip, where the urethra and foreskin meet. It doesn't (usually) hurt, but it just looks like blood red. Is this normal on a guy?

I have seen that the frenulum has a bit of a different skin tone before. It shouldn't be really *red* I guess. What worries me is that you say that it "usually" doesn't hurt. What do you mean with that?

If I urinate sometimes it gets on my frenulum and it burns a little. Doesn't happen when I ejaculate for some reason.

    Well, are you sexually active?

    Nope, unless masturbation counts.

It's always been red there, but the burning has been happening a couple of days. And it's not every time I urinate.

umm, it could be chafing, or even little cuts on your frenulum. Urine is acidic, so if it got on an open cut, no matter how small, it will burn; whereas ejaculates are generally basic, so they wouldn't burn (or not as much). You could be masturbating too much, or not using enough lube...

Hmmm... stick a finger into a concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide (which is a base in all senses of the word)... I'm totally sure that it WILL burn. A lot. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Back to the topic... my own frenulum isn't too red, but I've seen some that are very pink or even red, as I've seen blood red penis heads too. However, if it burns and you aren't sexually active... maybe you've been masturbating too roughly.

It sounds like it is at least a bit sore. Is it always like that? Does it always burn? Did it just start recently?

yea, but sodium Hydroxide is a strong base, seminal fluids are week bases, their purpose is only to neutralize the acidity in the urethra so that the sperm don't die.

Hmm... Nope I don't use lube. Maybe that's it.

I had something similar to this (just w/o the uncircumsicion part :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: )....turns out I had a urinary tract infection due to chafing and whatnot >.>

Go to the doctor and see what it could be  .

That's what I was thinking about, too. But there is some info missing to be sure here, that's why I am still asking questions

It doesn't always burn. I noticed it recently.

I'm gonna stop masturbating for a while (if I can, it's kind of hard) and see if it was a chafe/cut.

Yeah, give it a rest. But when it gets worse or isn't gone after a few days, go and see a doctor.
Note: A few days, does NOT mean a few weeks

(Necessary reminder for all guys, including myself  )

In terms of the colour it shouldn't be a problem seeing as mine is generally a pinky-red colour. But the pain could be a range of other possible things. It COULD be a matter of you rubbing yourself dry, but uncircumcised penises don't have the lube requirement circimcised ones do.. So unless you like masturbated 5 times in a row or something..
Maybe it might be a hygene problem, like you're not washing it properly?
Get it checked out by a doctor.

And by the way Nixon, what's so gross about being uncircumcised?

  20. Hmmm, I never had that happen to me before. Perhaps some cream from that pharmacy will do ?
