Ok I was doing my weekly testicle exam when I noticed that my right testicle was softer than my left one. I looked online and none of the symptoms for testicular cancer were similar to the testicle being soft. My family doesn't have any history of testicular cancer. There is only one case of cancer in my family that I know of and that is my grandma had breast cancer over the summer but she beat it. What is happening to me?
As far as I know, testicular cancer is generally found in hard lumps. Was this a recent development for sure, or could it possibly have been like this before? Is it really soft (like squishy) or is it just a little bit soft? I've never heard of it before. And if you're really concerned, go to a doctor.
I had the same fear a few years ago. What you might be feeling is the epididymis, which is, for the lack of a better word, the tubing between the urethra. It is soft and almost sponge-like. To this day I can still feel it on my left testicle, but not on my right. So I would not be too worried just yet.
It's better to be safe than sorry. See a doctor or GP. If you don't want your parents to know about it, then maybe go somewhere other than the family doctor so they don't get a bill. You could try a bulk-billing place. If it turns out to be nothing, then at least you can stop worrying.
Never mind... it hardened again....i mean its not rock hard but normal hard....but should I see a docter still
I have no idea what that could be. I would go see your doctor just in case. But that's your decision.
Then it could be what berileos mentioned - which is an enlarged (varicose type) vein. If so, it is nothing too much to worry about - but you should still see a Doc to find out for sure and put your mind at rest.
