I've been subscribed with viagra for ed and I don't like the idea because I feel in my mind it's the last resort thing and there is no other solution. I hate that the idea that it can be the only option. I'll probably never use it :tantrum:

Has your doctor talked about possibly having psychogenic ED instead of organic ED? Organic ED occurs when something is physiologically wrong, and thus drugs are warranted for use. Psychogenic ED deals with the lack of psychological arousal due to marital problems, depression, etc, and thus can be treated with psychotherapy. Perhaps you could consider psychotherapy if you feel like you're not psychologically aroused.

There are other drug options out there, but they're kinda inconvenient in terms of route of administration. Some are intraurethral pills, while others are intracavernosal injections. There are also vacuum erection devices and prosthesis. You usually consider these things after failing first line therapy, which would be Viagra, Cialis, etc.

I also would try more psychological ways to deal with it, unless You know for sure this is not related. Be careful with Viagra.

If you have insurance, then perhaps you could call member services to see if it covers psychotherapy. If not, then yeah, it'll be expensive based on what you said.

Viagra and drugs like it also tend to be expensive. From my experience, I rarely see insurance companies cover an adequate amount of the drug cost, resulting in high co-pays. Coupons might help though.

It seems like you're stuck with picking either the lesser of the two evils or nothing :/
