I have pretty bad social anxiety disorder; so bad, I am too anxious to have or follow through with sex. I do take xanax which helps calm my nerves to the point I can enjoy myself with less anxiety and panic; however, xanax kills my sex drive. I can't have it both ways and it's a circular scenario and either way, I can't have sex. Has anyone experienced this? If so, any wise words?
I haven't experienced this, however I used to be a very nervous person in general. (Not so much anymore). Unfortunately I can't really offer any other advice apart from seek professional help. If the drugs take away your sex drive then the only other option is to see a therapist and hopefully deal with your issues that way.
If you are up for it then you could talk to your doctor about your lack of sex drive.Maybe you could switch medications?
