I have been without sleep for about 33 hours and I am struggling, I am getting frustrated, dizzy, confused and unfocused. I am working now and will go home in nine (3:50 pm now, get off at midnight) hours. How do I sleep?
    I tried everything.
melatonin, veralin, chamolile, meditation, excersize, eating later, taking meds when I wake up, doctors, closing the laptop, turning off the phone, avoiding excerise before then, reading. Nothing worked. NOTHING.
It was only two days ago I went 34 hours without sleep.
I am now going at least 42 hours with no sleep. I am starting to see things, but they are small. Often, I go nights a few times a week without sleep. I also have urinary retention.
I have PTSD, anxiety, depression and ADD. I have flashbacks. No insurance due to working overtime. can't get insurance through work. State revoked previous insurance. won't be covered unitl next month. I fear losing my job. And everything. I need to fix this. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?
I am only a little sleepy and working now. Someone, please help.
Also, can't sleep at any set particular time. day or night, its got me in trouble in my job. MAke it stop.

Best solution is fall in love.
    Second best is sex.
Sex is great for treating depression, anxiety and it's usually exhausting. Makes most people want to sleep afterwards. o_o'

Have you tried physical exercise? Or sleeping someplace different from where you're used to? Also, since I'm very attached to my electronics (notebook, phone, ipod, etc), I find it takes a while to adjust after getting rid of them. Try to turn them off as soon as you get home and stay like that for at least 6 hours. And, regarding therapy, why don't you look for an alternative method - maybe support groups, at least for a little while?

may i ask your daily activity in general:

when are you usually wake up?
    breakfast time?
working our? when do you go to work?
    break time/lunch time?
    when your shift end?
when you usually arrived at home?
    exercise time?
    dinner time?
    bed time?

how much caffein you take a day? when?

sorry if i asked a lot of question. Sleeping difficulty may because by several things.

Anxiety patient tend HARD TO FELL asleep but able to maintain the sleeping state

Depressive patient tend to be able to sleep early but usually GOT UP TOO FAST accompanied by feeling of exhaustion

PTSD shows more variation but most cases i see is they can fell asleep normally but hard to maintain the sleeping state (frequently woke up in the middle of the sleep)

Exercising too close to bed time will make you hard to fall asleep due to temporary increase in core tempt and elevated body metabolism rate

State of hunger also wont help you fell asleep

you need to seek professional help as soon as you can get one. Sleep deprivation is not good for long term health
