So I'm 18, male, and never tried putting anything near my anus until today, although I'm not quite sure why as the idea of bottoming turns me on. What's the most comfortable postion? I started by rubbing my hands up and down my butt cheeks (this was the best bit to be honest, for some reason this gave me an erection) and running my finger up and down the anus until the whole thing seemed "relaxed". I then put lots and lots of lube on my finger, there's no such thing as too much lube right? I used Vaseline, I know it's not the best but it was all I had to hand. I managed to insert it fairly easily but as soon as it was in my sphincter tightened and I couldn't really get it to let go so I pulled out. I showered for a few minutes then tried again. This time I managed to get a lot deeper and reached what felt like a cavity or something? I'm not quite sure but the scenery definitely changed. The whole thing felt uncomfortable (like a finger was up my arse or something) and although I tried wriggling around to find the prostate and moving the finger in and out, but there was little to no pleasure. I even tried wanking at the same time but the fingering brought little extra. After about 15 seconds of entering my sphincter seized up again and I had to take it out. Surprisingly, there was no fecal matter although I did was my hands thoroughly afterwards. Although it brought no obvious pleasure I'm quite excited to try again tonight or tomorrow, this time I think I'll try watching some porn, so I guess it wasn't too bad. Every people have their own "comfortable position". I found my comfort position while lying down in lithotomy position (position during delivering a baby), in theory it will help relax the pelvic diaphragm. Just try experimenting in different position and you'll find your comfort position The anus internal muscles is made of smooth muscle and it always automatically "contract" with exception during defecation process due to parasympathetic stimulation to relax them. Another method of activating parasympathetic system is slowing your heart rate by leaving your fingers inside and take slow deep breathes, that way it will help "relax" the internal sphincter. The external sphincter on the other hand is made of skeletal muscle, therefore you actually need to "command" them to relax You reach rectal cavity =) The tight part (anus) is only last 4 cm for average people and beyond that is rectal cavity. Again theoretically if your "playing" finger is over 7 cm you should be able to reach the prostate, It is located in the anterior part of the rectum. 1 to 1,5 inches inside the rectal cavity. I tried doing rectal exam on several patient that the prostate and so far the theory above are correct. The normal prostate and BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) will felt as firm and rubbery object. There are less sensation inside the rectum because the nerve ending is minimal there, the "goodie" spot for anal play is in perineum (skin between scrotum and anus), anal opening and prostate gland. I've heard it said that the easiest way to find the prostate is to insert your finger and probe the area of the inside of your anus that is towards your balls, if that's clear. You should feel it. It's a little hard thingy and touching it will feel good. I'm not sure if I've found mine yet, but my main problem is the awkward wrist angles... That kills me.
Seriously, thank you so much for taking the time to write a detailed response! I never realised there were two sphincters, apparently we never covered the rectum in detail in biology. Oh what school doesn't prepare you for. Hopefully if I get comfortable with this I'll be more prepared for anal sex, if that time comes.
Your finger probably won't reach the prostate, try to just keep your finger or better yet fingers in there while you wank and it will make the orgasm feel better, if you really want to express yourself find something safe to put in like a toy or something experiment and do what feels right for you because everyone is different
