Should I go to the doctor for this cut?

About three hours ago, I cut my foot. I'm having some trouble walking (because anything on the cut hurts) , but that's usual for cuts on the foot.

I'm not sure if I should go to the doctor, but if you think I should I will. Not today because of the time.

Excuse the dirty feet, picture taken with computer camera right before bath.

First pic is with my finger pressed right above the cut. Second is cut untouched.

I'm probably overreacting, if so, sorry for wasting your time.

What was it that gave you that cut? It looks pretty bad.

I think you should bandage it and put some disinfectant on it, if you can stand the pain. If it shows any signs of infection tomorrow, I'd get it checked out immediately.

I'm not in the medical profession, so feel free to step up and correct me if I'm wrong.

A nail polish broke and I think that I stepped on one half, but I'm not sure if that is it. The nail polish had been dried for a long time, and my little sister must have taken it out of the trash a while ago or something.

Just cover some bandages in disinfectant and bandage it up.

If in doubt, and you have the time, go to the doctor. They're there for a reason.

    I agree...

Please keep in mind that we are not (as far as I'm aware of) medical professionals.

    My opinion / suggestion:

Put some antibacterial cream or topical one it.

    Bandage it up.

Go see your doctor or urgent care center (That's what they are there for!)

Good effort! Does the US have an equivalent to minor injury clinics? They're for injuries like yours that don't necessarily need to be seen at hospital. It does look reasonably deep so stitching or suturing may be needed.
