Sorry I've been away, I had another hospital stay and just got out.

Today I told my mum I wanted to try tampons. She thought to get me the small ones with the tube inserter thing(I'm new to this). I was so nervous, so scared, but when I got home I got the mirror to help, washed my hands, put my leg up on the toilet, and had a look. I'd looked online for diagrams, help, but the real flesh confused me and I had no idea what to do with myself! I found it hard to get it up there and gave up due to worry? Advice?

It might help feel around with your finger to find where the hole is. I usually put the "inserter thing" (I don't know what it is called either) into the hole an inch or two before inserting the tampon.

The inserter thing is called an applicator.
