I've been on Testogel for a year, with various levels of success at remembering to apply it...

It's working in a way, my sex drive has increased, which is annoying to be honest given my current situation, but what ever... However recently I've struggled to cum when I masterbate.

Also I've sort of got a bit more facial hair going on, beard is pretty consistent now, but nothing much over my lip, and it's very much neck and round the jaw line... Also my chest got hairy which sucks as I liked it before, but so did my upper arms and back, but my forearm is still quite thin.

The other thing thats bothering me is that my balls have really shrunk.

Anyone have experience with any of this... Don't really want to talk to the doctor about it.

    Hello klix!

I'm not a doctor and I have never had Testogel. However, I take medication for my anxiety and when I had first started taking it I noticed some side effects. They were a little freaky (ex. random flashes of what appeared to me as lightening in my peripheral vision). However, I went to my doctor to discuss them and she was able to alleviate my concerns (they mostly went away in the end).

My point is that talking to your doctor who is aware of your medical history is the best way to overcome/do something about your concerns. There can be other options or perhaps ways to overcome certain undesirable side effects.

Even after a year I noticed some issues that may have been related to my medication and I went back to determine what was causing it.

Once you make an appointment you just have to follow through with it and show up and let the doctor guide you through any problems.

    I hope that helps.

I'm not a doctor yet but i want to ask something... does your doctor who prescribed the testosterone told you to have a blood test to check whether the level of testosterone is within normal limit or not?

Usually the andrologist in the hospital where i worked/study order such test with purpose to readjust the dose so it wont get too high or too low.

When the testosterone level is too high the negative feedback of HPG axis (Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Gonadal) initiate. The body 'thought' they have too many androgen and reduce the secretion of GnRH. No GnRH from hypothalamus means pituitary wont release the FSH and LH which will cease the sperm and testosterone production within the testicle therefore they (the testicle) shrunk.

i recommend you to talk to the doctor regarding this. Prolonged suppression of HPG axis may cause irreversible infertility...
Dont be afraid to call them, its their job anyway

I get blood tests periodically for this and other hormones, it's in the normal range...

Sometimes my cum is really thick and relatively opaque, but other times, when I am struggling it's more watery and translucent. I don't know whats causing that, and I don't know how often I should be getting the urge to masterbate/sex because this kicked in when I was 18-20 something like that I think and so I've only ever known puberty, and this.
