I don't shave my legs because I have no reason to, and I prefer them...hairy? xD But I do shave my armpits for hygiene. I know the whole 'screw stereotypes' philosophy, but is that going to be seen as 'weird'? Lots of other dudes have hairy armpits, while that's not really my thing; I just leave some stubble.
even heterosexuals shave their armpits. lol my mom force all of us (me and my brothers) to wax our armpits every month, cos we all know that shit is nasty.
Some people have hang-ups with body hair and some don't. Right now I would label myself a queer female, and I'm similar to you OP...I don't shave my legs but I do shave my armpits.

I would just do what you are comfortable with. If you want to shave your armpits, then I would do that. It is something stupid to argue over. I used to argue with my parents about it. I didn't shave before I came out because I had super sensitive skin.
