Apps and Addictions

    Was reading some articles on the use of dating/hookup Apps. Some of the articles suggest that constant use of Apps can lead to addictive tendencies.

    When I look back on the time when I was an active user of such apps, I certainly can see how such a conclusion could be suggested.

    i wonder if there is definitive evidence or if this is just theory?

    If it can lead to addictive tendencies, should there be more control governing the use of apps?

    I've never used any of the apps or online dating stuff--I've never had trouble meeting guys in person so I don't quite see the point of it--but I could definitely see people getting sort of obsessive about it. I occasionally get sort of obsessed with yelp and all there is to find there is the best Thai food or the best dry cleaner. If I thought I could find love or even sex on it, well...
