i started cutting myself even since i began doubting myself, feeling sad, etc. I just do it when my emotions start to get to an overwhelming level. Is there something else i can do? I don't want to make external pain because of my internal pain. I also scared what mom would think of me if she saw all my cuts from this month. Please help been feeling really down lately.
Try writing about how you feel. Get all of your frustration and everything on paper (or a word doc). It will help you express how you feel without hurting yourself, and it will help sort out your emotions.
You could go for a walk outside, take a shower, write, listen to music, organize something, read a book, watch a movie (preferably comedy), or do anything to get your mind off of it. If you can play a musical instrument, you can play that, or do anything else you are good at. (*hug*) I'm glad you are looking for alternatives to cutting, it's a step in the right direction.
