    Hi,
I have noticed that if I masturbate watching either bisexual or gay porn movie/clip - usually next day or in the next few days - something bad happens. Either a quarrel or something bad at work. Also if I watch a porn material that is sensual in nature, beautiful women then everything is all right. And if I want something good happen tomorrow then the best result is to watch interracial porn. I did noticed correlation between these seemingly unrelated events. I know its sounds crazy... but i avoid for example watching any gay type materials. (i m not gay but some times certain things do excite)
P.s. also same thing happens when I taste my own cum... (i m sorry for details.)
Does this fall into some sort of psychological problem or maybe smbd experienced same thing. Can anybody shed some light into this?
    Any help is appreciated...
    thx

To be brief there are two possible explanations to this but neither of them is that there is actual causal link between gay porn and bad things. I mean, you do realize that there is no and cannot be an actual causal link between the two?

    1) You subconsciously cause the trouble at work because you feel guilty of watching gay porn. However, the porn itself has no magic capability to cause anything.

    2) You are being paranoid and look for confirmation to your paranoia by ignoring bad things that happen after watching straight porn and seeing things more negatively after having watched gay porn.

Either of the cases is indication of psychological problems. You have internal conflict that you mind is unable to resolve. My advice is, talk to a psychologist.

Hi, bicur, and welcome to EC! You're in the right place.

I had a friend, years ago, with a similar problem, except that he was straight. He was convinced that every time he masturbated, bad things would happen. So the advice I gave him, which I'll also give to you (with slight modifications for your situation), is as follows:

For the next 10 days, masturbate every day to a gay porn clip (or perhaps just to fantasies about guys that you create in your head.) Then notice what happens during the day.

I'll wager that you'll find, if you do this consistently, that there's zero correlation between your masturbation and what actually happens. (This is what happened with my friend, and he was incredibly appreciative that I had him do this exercise.)

What's far more likely going on for you is you're scared to death of the idea you might be gay or otherwise attracted to guys, and your unconscious is creating spurious correlations that reinforce that fear.

Give that a try and then come back and tell us what happens.

Sorry to hear you cut your hand but ... Keep going. It's a spurious correlation.

I think it's quilt related. You feel guilty and subconsciously punish yourself afterwards. I have a similar experience.

I suggest that you keep 2 concepts in mind:

    1) Confirmation bias.
    2) Self-fulfilling prophecy.

With regard to confirmation bias, you're probably more likely to remember when something usual happens that would confirm your suspicions. I'm willing to bet that you have had similarly unfortunate events happen to you before that you subsequently forgot.

With regard to self-fulfilling prophesy, it's not uncommon for believing that something bad will happen makes it more likely that something bad will happen. Anxiety about something bad happening can make one more likely to accidentally do something bad.
