My friend has the implant contraceptive and is getting it replaced next week and says her doctor won't let her take painkillers or anything for it (this is in the NHS and their website says differently) is this right, should she be given anything for it?

Is she seeing a GP or a specialist to ask to be able to take painkillers. Most Gps only really specialise in one area and in this case may not know what they are talking about.

She asked the first time she when it was replaced and was refused, even when she was crying.
