Can anyone suggest how to go about finding a gay or gay-friendly/affirmative doctor that specializes in anal issues? I'm particularly looking for someone around the Kansas City area. However I may be willing to travel if I can find the right doctor. I've tried seeing a couple colorectal doctors but they certainly didn't make me feel comfortable bringing up anal sex questions. I remember hearing of a colorectal doctor that caters to the gay community that was well regarded in his field, but can't find his name again nor where he was located. Thanks.
The best option is to reach out to local LGBT organizations. Someone there will know. LGBT chambers of commerce, LGBT centers, LGBT FB groups for your area, etc. I would search for a LGBT friendly general doctor, then ask them to refer you to another LGBT friendly specialist.
