So I wear glasses and am thinking about getting laser eye surgery to save money in the long run; does anyone have any experience of it?

I've known people who had it and benefited a lot from it - though often they got it because they were going to be in a situation where they might not have access to continued eye care in the near future (say, leaving the country to work abroad for a year or two).

Saving money could be a good enough reason to get the procedure done, but any invasive/surgical procedure comes with risks. If you're curious about it, I would ask your ophthalmologist/optometrist, and see what they recommend.
