I'm turning 17 2 months today and i'm wondering what to expect both physically and sexually health wise and weather there's anything to worry about so if someone who is either nearly 18 or older could explain that would be awesome.
It's borderline useless to use a calendar to check the progress of your puberty. Some people have something happen at age 14, but for others, it didn't happen until age 16. Some guys get pubic hair before their voice starts changing, and others get the voice change first. About all you can do is have a vague "checklist" of standard things a male experiences during puberty, and take note of when they happen. By no means exhaustive, here's just a quick list of what most guys have happen twixt twelve and twenty. * The sex drive kicks in, or kicks in stronger. * The ability to ejaculate. * Hair (or thicker hair) appearing in the pubic area, chest, underarms and face. * Growth of the "Adam's apple" in the throat area, leading to the voice "cracking" and deepening. * Increased (and annoyingly sporadic) growth "spurts". * Increased action by the sweat glands. * Emotional changes. This is extremely vague, but it covers a wide swath of possible/probable changes. Including: * - a desire for more independence. * - an increased feeling of "touchiness". * - heightened insecurity, and a desire to "belong" within your social settings. * - random periods of lethargy. * - "crushes", romantic and sexual fantasies, and the like. Some of these things probably have already begun. Others will no doubt follow. Some might hit you like a ton of bricks, and others might simply sort of happen in the background. Don't worry about being on a "schedule" for any of them. Everybody's journey through puberty is somewhat different. Lex
