    this is pretty stupid.

I was bored last night, so the thought occured to me to shave my 'fun zone' (I normally just trim) and now it itches like a mother:***:. I was wondering if no-one knew how long this might last for, because it is unbelievably distracting when I'm trying to do something, like concentrate in class or something.

    thanks, Jonny.

 could be worse I suppose. I'm not a huge fan of how it looks though, the rest of me is too hairy.

I like it. Use an aftershave morning and night to help prevent ingrowns. Then, apply lots of hair cream rinse to help keep the pubes themselves soft. That should really help relieve the itching, at least I've had good luck with it.

    of course

I'm a bit short on the cash though, and I can hardly say to my mum 'can i get some money to nip to tesco for some hair cream for me pubes', she'll die laughing. I suppose I'll stick with aftershave then.

She probably used it after she shampoos. You could tell her you need some because when you wash your hair (you do wash it don't you) it feels dry. Maybe I've misused the term. how about "Conditioner"! my bad, lol

I mean, she prolly already has some in her shower or bath room. Most ladies have 2 or 3 different kinds at any moment. It really helped me.

And watch out for advise from Mattypants. He's from California, and they do all sorts of things with coffee creamer! Wait a minute, that might actually taste good.

Also, any mosturizing cream or soap (perhaps your mother has some) would help. I've done that twice... it's not fun... trust me. And when hair starts growing back... it's even worse.

I would also suggest to scrub (GENTLY) this area to prevent ingrows hair. You might found a facial scrub in your mother's stuff wich would be fine.
If not you can make your own scrub :
Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar + 2 tablespoons of honey + 1 tablespoon of oil (olive oil being the best)
Scrub GENTLY during your shower every 2 or 3 days, rinse and then apply a moisturiser.

    Take care, Eleanor

I think most people do the big shave at least once. It's a great way to learn the value of not-too-short clippering instead of shaving.

Normally when hair grows, the ends have a taper that makes the end of the hair soft. When you shave, you're creating a sharp, blunt end on the hair. These ends feel like the end of a toothbrush- they're very scratchy. Add to this that sometimes shaving can cause a razor rash which is also itchy.

Sometimes baby powder helps for during the day. Drug stores have small travel packs of baby powder that are cheap and you can carry it in your backpack. The powder cuts down on the friction and also helps keep the area dry to prevent razor rash. If you have some cortisone cream, you can use it at night to help reduce the itchiness.

The itchness usually lasts about 3-5 days. Once the hair gets long enough to bend, it will not be as scratchy.

Next time- just remember... clipper, not shave.
