I have been trying to get rid of this wart on my thumb for months now. I've tried every over the counter wart remover out there. This is immortal!

    Any suggestions?

    Accept your new friend !

    :cP.

Im having the same issue. I have the freeze off but I havent seen any results as of yet other than its getting smoother. I heard covering it with duct tape also works but Im skeptical and work in a feild where I cant have duct tape on my finger. I googled it and what gets results are OTC with salicylic acid.

Give it a name, draw it a little face and you can spend a couple of decades alone on an island... ^_^

Have you had it checked out by a dermatologist?

warts are terrible, I have one in my toe and it's been with me since I was 18... you can use some sort of acid on them, but it hurts quiet a bit... and it takes a long time of regular doses to really get rid of it.

it is probably planners warts my brother had same issue. They have to be surgically removed or they can prescribe an acid that will help get rid of it. Duct tape does in fact work as they told this to my brother.

Duct tape eh? So, I'll soak it first to soften it up then rip the little bastard off. Yes this plan pleases me.

Time to see a dermatologist. It will probably need to be shaved and frozen.

    Not usually hair.

A wart is an overgrowth of tough, thick skin that covers a "root" where the virus hides out. What we have to do is take a small scapel and scrape or "shave" off some of that thick skin (which doesn't have any nerve endings, so it's painless) to get to the root. We then freeze the root with liquid nitrogen or another chemical that causes a minor burn that kills off the virus.

This usually gets rid of the wart permanently.

I had a couple tiny warts on my finger and I used duct-tape wrapped in a band-aid so it didn't look weird.

I've done the duct tape thing once or twice. No, you don't rip it off. I'm not sure how it works, but it does. At least for some people. Some random internet research suggested that duct tape is only effective for some people. It's worth a shot. What you do is you just put the duct tape on top of the wart Basically, if you don't want it to be obvious that you have duct tape on your thumb you could cover it with a bandaid or medical tape or something. Then, once a day, you rinse it with warm water and carefully take it off. Then, you put another piece on. Over time, the wart disappears. It's incredible.

Don't necessarily have to go to a dermatologist...when I had a wart, I just went to my regular doctor and they burned it off with liquid nitrogen
