So, I'm lying on the couch. I have a 101.8 temp, chills, headache, nausea, soreness, sore throat, cough, stuffy and runny nose, and loss of appetite. I don't know if it's the flu because I had the flu shot. Anyways, you got any advice? What do you do when you're sick to help ya feel better? Ughghgh..make it stop....:bang:
Plenty of sleep, eat garlic =] And get off the computer If I was in your position I would be resting not surfing the net
About the only thing that you can do is rest, drink plenty of fluids and take flu medication that makes you sleep through the most miserable part of it. It usually takes about 3-4 days for the fever to break and for you to begin to feel better.
The flu sucks quite a lot, but there's very little you can do. Keep hydrated, keep rested and it'll be gone in a couple of days. Although you probably will have an irritating cough for quite a few more days afterwards. Get well soon!
Woke up today with chills, drenched in sweat & with a temp of 103. Looks like I won't be going to school for a while.
No, you're probably out for the week. Temp of 103F needs to be treated. Take Tylenol. You should try to keep your temp under 101F oral. You'll feel much better if you do.
If you've already gotten the flu vaccine, maybe it's H1N1. It sucks, and I know that's not what you want to hear - but its really not worse than the flu. My advice: try to rest, but if you can't... start watching buffy the vampire slayer
