ive been worried all day at school today about this. every morning i wake up with a stiff penis but the last few times it has given me pain. today it was a lot pain and woke me up about 4.00am. i got up and went to the toilet and when i went back to bed it still stayed really stiff and i couldnt get back to sleep until about 6.00am and then had trouble wakeing up when mum woke me and my 2 brothers up. do you think that this is happening because of my age im 16 and a half now. i no its normal to wake up with an erection but i am a bit worried because of the pain. the pain is like a throbing like a toothache sort of thing.
yes im circumsized so it mustnt be this. i will see what happens to night. my 10yo brother isnt but i dont want to ask him if it happens to him also
That's exacty what I thought too Sometimes similar thing heppened to me after good sleep but usually it goes away
hmmm. I don't know if this helps, but i only feel a little pain when i relieve like three times in thirty minutes... (it's possible, lol)
Yeah, it happened to me a few times, so hard it hurts and nothing you can do about it! Can't get back to sleep either. Never got me worried tho. But it's true it does hurt. Because an erection is caused by lots of blood filling the penis, I think it might be TOO MUCH blood reaching the penis and not going out properly. I tried to press against or squeeze the head to try and 'empty' it a bit, it does help a little.
Jayden, since you are circumcised it likely isn't the problem, unless there was not a compete removal of the foreskin. Unlikely though. You also earlier (few months ago or so) had an accident with head injury, was there any other body area injured such as the lower back? Just possible that it could be neurogenic, result of injury to nerves. Not common, but could happen. Most likely there is an over stimulation while sleeping and the longer the erection is present, the greater the chances of pain developing. As long as you are loosing the erection eventually, I think it will resolve itself. Perhaps changing sleep position to prevent physical stimulation as much as possible would help also. If it should persist and become more of a problem, definitely see if there is another physical reason for it. Not to scare anyone, but if you should happen to get an erection and it lasts for many hours, it could cause great problems. But for now, it sounds like you are being stimulated for long periods of time and need to take a break.
Um, I'm probably missing something ... but have you tried the standard method for getting rid of an erection?
Its happened to me one when was awake and a few times when i was a sleep but eventually it stopped happening. Sorry i don't know how it stopped :bang: sorry i cant help you. Try not to think of hot guys before you go to bed. Thats all i can offer
sorry jayhew i forgot to answer your post. no the only things that happened when i got hit by the car at bondi beach was i was nocked out for a few minutes and my arm was sprained and my front tooth was nocked out. i also had bleeding coming out of my ears. the last few nights have been ok i still get very stiff erections that wake me up some times in the night but more in the morning but there is no throbbing pain now. i havent worn any boxers to bed for ages becuase i feel more comfy sleeping with out them on. mum and dad dont mind this
Sounds like things are progressing towards a better balance of normal for you Jayden. Good, I hope it continues. If anythings else happens, let me know.
