I've been really stressed out lately, and I need a way to deal with it. My friend is in the hospital, just had surgery because he has cancer. He was on a ventilator, and they might have to go back to that. I'm just so stressed out about it, even though I know there's nothing I can do about it (that's partial what's so stressful). So if anyone has any good techniques, do share. Thank you, and happy new year!
What works best for me is some deep breathing, and counting down from 100. Other than that, I think the best thing you can do to help with the current situation is to make sure you're there for your friend. That way you know that you've done the best you can. I know visiting your friend may be a tough thing to do, but hopefully it will at help with the feeling of helplessness. Good luck to you and your friend!
