For the last few weeks, I have been in a wheelchair and on crutches because I messed up my knee. Before I hurt my knee, I was planning to ask this girl out. I had gotten to know her pretty well, and I got the feeling she liked me too. But then this whole injury came along and I don't know whether it is worth pursuing the relationship. This would be my first relationship with a girl and I already would be a bit overwhelmed. And yes, I know that a relationship has the emotional and communication part, which I think is the most important, but I just don't really see how the whole sexual side would work. I don't even know if she would want to be in a relationship with me now. (and yes, I will be in the chair for a while)

Is is worth pursuing this relationship now that I am in a wheelchair?

I'd say yes. What do you have to lose?

A wheelchair shouldn't get in your way! Even if it was permanent, a disability should never get in the way of a relationship.

Don't lose this girl, pursue her

Go for it! If she doesn't want to be in a relationship with you because you're temporarily wheelchair bound, then you don't need her in your life anyways.

Let's face it, if she turns you down simply because you have to use a chair to get around, then she's a bit of a loser.
As for the sexual side, you'll never know until you try—and people in all sorts of situations still manage to make the sexytime!

Go for it. If you're able to, get a friend help you learn to 'pop a wheelie' to impress her. Heh.

Don't let that stand in the way of your happiness. Good luck. :icon_bigg

thanks guys! I love the pop a wheelie idea (i've tried, its really hard, but I will keep working on it) I will still go for. I will be in the chair for almost all the time I will get to spend with her. were seniors and college is a callin' but I guess I will just make it work! I get to finally go back to school on Wednesday after missing a lot for surgery, but I should be able to ask her then. yay!
