A couple of things happen, one is the energy expenditure so yes tired after that, but the other is there is a release of endorphins in the brain after orgasm and endorphins are 10 times stronger than morphine and induces relaxation and a feeling of well being. In combination all these can bring about sleep or sleepiness.
