The titles says a lot but I'll explain a little more. Lately dealing with my palms has really been irritating/slightly worrying me. I've always had to deal with very sweaty palms almost all my life but lately it's gotten to the point where I've started avoiding shakings hands with everyone possible to avoid also having to either apologize about my hands or refuse to shake hands with them but also tell them that it might make them uncomfortable due to my hands being sweaty then raise up a hand so they can see. It's not only irritating but also sorta embarrassing too. People have told me it's natural due to being a guy but I've never shaken anyone's hand that's come anything close to mine. It's also my feet too but lucky no one ever touches those :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. I'm still unsure about this being natural due to being a male or is there maybe something wrong with me? Neither one of my two brothers ever has sweaty hands yet I do and neither one of my parents do as well. I don't know if it's also just a coincedence but it seems any time I hold something electronic like my phone or DS my hands break out sweating as well. I guess I'd just like to be able to live normally without having to avoid shaking hands with friends at school passing by or people in general.
Thanks in advance for any comments and/or helpful tips on how to deal with this

There are treatments for sweaty hands. I'm not sure what it's called, but there's this one thing where you put your hands in this weird bowl of water and it runs an electric current through the water and the sweat glands get shut off.
So maybe it would be good to see a doctor and talk over your options.

There are several causes of sweaty hands. A dermatologist is the specialist who can generally make the evaluation and determine the best course of treatment.

Ah so there is a way to fix this. Would that possible work for my feet as well?

It depends on the cause. The medical term is hyperhidrosis. Because it has so many origins, a physician would need to know the cause before the appropriate treatment can be prescribed.

    Questioning
Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I suffer from palmar hyperhidrosis too.
I was wondering if there are any creams I could apply to my hands in order to reduce/stop the sweating.
And by the way, is there anybody else on EC with my same "problem"?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
