Penis size

    What is actually considered normal size? Has anyone ever actually seen anything that works for penis enlargement? And another, really awkward question, why does my penis almost always retract into my body?

    i hear normal size, re:average , is like 5-6 inches

    I can understand the awkwardness in asking this question, personally I would have posted it anonymously. But since you were brave enough I might as well add that the same thing happens to me (retraction-wise). I'm more concerned about the size of my testicles though, which also tend to retract.

    Now that I have described my genitals (how's that for a first post) I might nip over to the introduction forum and introduce myself!

    KB is the one qualified to really answer this from a physiology perspective, but i think *everybody* has shrinkage (the retracting into your body) at times. I swear it gets more noticeable as you get older (like 40s older) too :slight_smile:

    And thanks to porn, we all think that the average penis size is 7 or 8 inches, but it's not at all; more like 4.5 to 5.5 inches, depending on whose data you're looking at.

    There are NO penis enlargement products that work. The closest to real are the contraptions that you stick your dick into and pump like a vacuum but (a) the effect is temporary and (b) it isn't very safe.

    I understand intellectually why people think that penis size is such a big deal but, honestly, intuitively, it makes no sense at all. It's really no different than having big or small hands, big or small feet, or anything else.

    And honestly, anybody that is only interested in going out with guys that have big schlongs is NOT somebody I'd be interested in dating; that sort of shallowness rarely leads to meaningful, long-lasting relationships.

    Shrinkage seems to happen more when you're overweight, too. So if you've gained some pounds, you might try losing a few to see if that helps.

    I've read 4- 6 inches is normal.
    Is it cold? your penis will retreat like a frightened turtle if its cold, or from his bouncing around in your pants all day, it happens.

    The average range for circumference in adult males is 4.5-5.5 inches, with the median being around 5 inches.

    If it works, it's the right size.

    I'm assuming it's true that, given two guys where everything else is equal, a gay guy would probably pick the one with the bigger dick. But the key bit there is "everything else is equal", because it never is. A big dick is fine, but a big dick is insufficient. The best guy I ever had sex with was smaller than average. :slight_smile:
