I have read this article about condoms and anal sex:

"Condoms with a lubricant containing Nonoxynol 9 should NOT be used for anal sex as Nonoxynol 9 damages the lining of the rectum increasing the risk of HIV and other STD transmission."

Do durex brand condoms contain this chemical? :S

Nonoxynol 9 is actually a spermicide, if I remember correctly. According to this website, Durex stopped producing condoms with Nonoxynol 9 in 2004. If you're using a condom that old, the fact that it has Nonoxynol 9 is the least of your concerns.

Because there are a number of people who are sensitive to N-9, it is disclosed as being "spermicidal" or clearly listed on the ingredient list for condoms, lubricants and spermicidal jellies.
