    :help:

So, I've not long been wearing contacts. Just under a week now. Putting them in is relatively easy - sometimes my ridiculously long eyelashes get in the way - but, I eventually do it. lol.

However, it is much more of a task getting them out. The left one is easier than the right one. My right eye has been getting sore after 10-20 mins of attempting to get them out. It really frustrates me. I keep thinking its because I'm left handed or because of the eyelashes but I just can't find an effective way of taking them out.

    Any tips/advice from contacts wearers?

    Thanks

I've been wearing contacts for a long time now. The way I get them out is to look up and put my finger on the bottom of the lens and slide it down and then pinch it between my pointer and middle finger and it comes right out. It takes practice. Also a tip for getting them in, because I also have long eyelashes, is to use the hand you're not using to put your contact in and like push your eyelashes back while opening your eyelids. Kinda like making them open wider with your fingers. It's kind of hard to explain so I'm not sure if that made sense lol

If it is taking you 10 or 20 mins to get them out you are doing something wrong...it should never take you that long.
I've been wearing contact for years, and if anything I might have a little harder time putting them in..but mine just pop right out.

I always simply place my left hand fingers at the top on my eyelid to keep it open, and use my right hand finger on the bottom lid, then I will simply use my thumb and index finger to gently grab the contact and pull it out.

Make sure you always wash your hands before tho...don't want any infections!

I've always wanted to get the corrective laser surgery done, but I've always been too much of a chicken.

If it's taking you that long, something is definitely wrong. I have short eyelashes so I have probably have an easier time, but what I do is hold my right eye open with my right middle finger and my left middle finger and use my left index finger to move it all the way away from my nose, and then I pinch the contact with my index and middle finger and take it out. Reverse it for the left eye. Works all the time.

You can also do the same process but pull the contact to the bottom of your eye and then get it come out that way, but to either side is faster.

Yes! xD One day though >.>

Like everyone else said tho. Just use your other hand to open your eye, look up,slide it down and then pinch it lightly to get it out. After you get use to it you'll be able to do it without a mirror haha

And yes, it should only take you like 5 mins tops. And thats because you are new to the whole thing. Usually takes me like 5 secs to do it.

    Hope it helps xD

Geeze, I feel like I'm cheating when I do it.
I pull down under my left eye with my left middle finger and pinch with my left index and thumb. Reverse with right.
I've been wearing them for 3 years now, and I find it harder to put them in. ,_,

For me, I just use my middle fingers and put them on the top and bottom of my eye, and use my index finger and thumb to get the contact out. It takes only a few seconds.

    Same here.

Anyway, I've been wearing contacts since September 2008 and I've never really had much issues getting them out.

What I do to get contacts out is to pull the eyelid upwards and then use my index finger and another finger to grab the lens and put it back. I do this with both eyes using my stronger hand (the right hand in my case). Everyone has their own methods however.

If you're having trouble with getting contacts out, I would contact an eye specialist at an opticians or wherever else.

I have a friend who bent over so was looking at the ground... And another that looked up. But other than that, idk. I guess you just have to find what works for you

I fail at putting them in, but I'm awesome at taking them out.
Just hold your eye open with your left hand if you need to, and look straight ahead and pinch it out with your right hand. You're not going to poke your eye out or anything because there's a lens in the way
Once I tried to take it out about 20 times before I realised I had already taken it out though. Don't do that. (I was a bit drunk...)

I've worn contacts since I was 12, ages XD I do this ^ though I don't need to look up, I just slide the lens down until it crumples into my lower lid and pitch it out, simple  It's only been a week, give it another one or two and you should get the hang of it
