I just got the news from my doctor today,I have to have surgery on my left knee.I slipped and fell at work today on my left knee.I was in pain right away and taken to the hospital right away.Doctor found damage to my knee cap and ligaments from an X ray,saw a specialist right away too and was told surgery was the only option. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday and I do have support from my girlfriend Yasmine, her son Taylor and daughter Zoe.My parents are there for support too.I am off of work for 6 to 10 weeks for recovery.I am taking it easy and my doctor said this taking his orders.
Sorry to hear about your fall. The main thing is to keep your spirits up, this helps enormously with recovery. Here is a medicinal (*hug*) which should also make you feel better :icon_bigg
It is going suck but I am going to keep my spirits up.My plans for this weekend came to a halt, was going to go mud running with a couple of my friends tonight and that will not happen.I am off of work until the doctor says I can go back to work when I do finish recovery.I am on crutches now and this is how I am getting around for now.
U HAVE to?? have surgery?? does it hurt alot?? bcoz i had trips n i left them but i get pain sumtimes
It hurts a lot and cannot walk on my left leg which is painful and I have to have surgery on my left knee. The ligaments are torn and and the x ray shows it.I am taking care of myself too.
The surgery is tommorrow morning at 6:30 am,my girlfriend,my parents will be there for support helping me with recovery. My girlfriend's children said they will help me out when I start recovery too when they come home from school.
I do have a very great support system.I also have it at work too.My co worker Jon whom I forgave for being very honest for causing it,he left an oil spil and forgot to clean it up right away.I am going to follow doctor's orders too after the surgery.
Good luck, and take care. That's a good point. If anyone sees a slip or trip hazard or any other potential risk at school, work or wherever, clear it up or sort it out. It doesn't matter whether you caused it or not, whether it's your job or not, etc. Someone could slip or trip, causing serious injury. If you can't sort it out yourself or if it's in a public building like a shop, report it straight away.
Here is an update,I am doing very well and the surgery went very well.I am in the recovery process and have been getting a lot of get well cards. My GF's children have,my parents have been doing a great job checking on me and a check up is next week Monday at 8:00 AM.lot of visitors too including my boss and his wife.
