I'm very confused... I mean uh. I hear a lot about straight people and gay men using protection all the time, but I've never heard anything said about Lesbians. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of getting some sort of STI and though I'm a far way away from having sex, I don't think it's bad to know what to do if (when?) the time comes. So how do Lesbians protect ourselves? Is it necessary? My friend said that Lesbians have a much lower chance of getting STIs but.. idk. I'm just so confused! :help:
Actually, there's a handy little section on the Resources section of the EC site which explains lesbian safe sex. You may want to start there first! Here's the link for it: http://emptyclosets.com/home/pages/resources/health/lesbian-sex.php Edit: Your friend is right, there is a low risk of STIs, but it is still important to practice safe sex.
