I've never had horrible acne so I'm not really sure what do.

Back in December I had to have some steroid injections and they gave me alot of acne on my back. the acne stopped pretty quickly but I still have the scares from it and I'm not sure how to make them fade away.

I've looked online but I can't find anything really useful, so I'm just wondering if anyone knows something that could help.

Mederma, A&D ointment, Boudreaux Butt Paste, and vitamin E are the products I have heard of to help them heal. Disclaimer: I have not tried any of them, and can not vouch for the effectiveness of any.

Vitamin E works really well on scars for me. I have not used it on ance scars, but I have used it on a ton of other scars that I have gotten from working in broadcasting

Are these the silvery-red scars or are they dark-pigmented areas?

They're more silvery-red. Is that bad?

No, there are different types of scars. A silvery-red scar is an older scar and it would be treated differently than a dark, pigmented scar.

You may need to see a dermatologist for this type of scarring. They will probably try topical salicylic acid and tretinoin to peel the skin.

But if the scars are deep, isotretinoin may be the only means to exfoliate the surface scarring.
