My girlfriend has it!! She uses a motorized scooter, but can walk some. And yes, she needs my help with a lot of things in life, but I am happy to do it, and in my eyes she is perfect just the way she is.
One of the individuals I supported in a group home had a pretty severe case of it. I don't know anyone more personally than that, but I have a big respect for people with it.
