Lesbian Safe Sex

    I'm a virgin and I really need some info on safe sex for lesbians!! Do you use protection or just go for it?! Advice please!

    In my experience, most lesbians don't bother with safe sex. There might be some merit to that, as I asked my GYN to test me for STIs and she was genuinely confused as to why a lesbian would want to be tested ("do you sleep with women who sleep with men?"). I still think safe sex is a good idea, but it seems like women don't transfer things as easily as men do. If you do skip the latex glove, dental dam, etc, be sure to ask your partner if she's been tested and look for any outward signs (like sores, warts) as well.
