okay today im having one of those days where i have severe back pain. i have tried cracking my back , i have tried relaxing but nothing is working , i cracked my neck and it helped some actually but it still hurts. i don't know if i slept on it wrong or what
I use ice and iBpropfen or advill when back pain gets bad. I have it in lower back when I bend wrong, and it can last for months if I don't get advill in me and ice pack. I've taken up to 400 miligrams at a time, with food in me first of course. 20 min. on and 20 min off with the ice for an hour or so laying in bed. I learned this after suffering really badly for a few years. Let the cold nearly hurt, and then off with the ice for 20 min. or a half hour. It may take a full day, but it should help. I have disc problems, it runs in my family. If you only use the advil and no ice you will still get pain reduced. That is the only drug that works for this kind of pain for me. Now I get far fewer episodes and the duration is far shorter.
Try touching your toes (or as close as you can get) and hold it there for a few seconds and repeat it a few times. It helps me loosen up my back when it gets tight.
^^That, and flex your butt. Your glutes are basically pulling the back of your pelvis down, giving your spine a bit of breathing room. Just do that whenever it aches and you should see marked improvement. That is, of course, assuming you don't have pinched nerves/slipped discs/sciatica or anything you need a doctor for otherwise.
Do you have any radiating pain? The ibuprofen and ice suggestion is good. I see a chiropractor and also great a message from a licensed massage therapist once a month. They have done wonders on my back. My chiropractor also has a physical therapist who I worked with for a while. He gave me quite a few exercises to help. I know a lot of folks don't like chiropractors, but they have worked wonders for me. I've had back pain my entire life, even before my injury. It still hurts somedays, but I don't have the constant pain and discomfort like I used to.
if it is your lower back i suggest you to do some Stretching or see a Chiropractor. if it's not your lower back you should see a doctor
