My penis is slightly darker than the rest of my skin(?)

    Today after taking a shower I realized the skin on my penis is a few shades darker than the rest of my skin (same with scrotum). I read online that it usually happens to people of Black or Latin descent, which I am Not at all, I'm all Northren European lol: German, English, and Scotish predominantly. I also read it happens to Guys with more melanin, but I have super pale skin, blonde hair, and green eyes with a violet blue hue, and I can't tan at all. Also when I realized this the veins on my scrotum were kind of purplish, but they aren't anymore

    Nope, it's normal for Caucasians as well. Mine fits the same description and I like it very much... Welcome to the wonderful world of having a penis! The follow up question is: Do the curtains match the drapes? Not that I am asking the question, but it's always a good question...

    Its very common of all races. I think it has something to do with thinner skin cells so they must be tougher or something, I'm not entirely sure.

    Sorry, I meant to say carpet, so it was just a typo. But watching everyone try to figure out what my mixed metaphor meant (also awesome alliteration) was rather funny.

    But no, it's "Does the carpet match the drapes"... There we go. Mixing metaphors like a banshee!

    The body has different types of skin. The skin on the underarms and scrotum does tend to be darker and thicker in consistency.

    But for guys in puberty, it's not unusual for there to be an area of pigmentation that goes from the belly button down to the penis, scrotum, across the perineal area to the anus. As long as the skin is normal (not peeling or itchy), it's normal.
