Is there such a thing as "Gay Bowel Syndrome"

Its an outdated term for a condition that some doctors came up with in the 1970s to describe some possible effects of men having anal sex. It came out of a homophobic lack of understanding and respect for gay men.

Basically those stupid articles are citing "evidence" that's 40 years old that wasn't even accurate or even evidence at the time.

I'd say the vast majority of people having anal sex will never see any realistic impact on their health if they are clean and don't abuse that part of the body.

Are there types of anal sex that do have lasting consequences for body functions? Yes, but unless your doing some extreme stuff and being risky at the same time it's unlikely to happen. Most people have bowel issues just from daily life anyways, so I would be inclined to think that being gay and having anal sex isn't the sole factor for issues down there.

Gay-Bowel-Syndrome isn't a real thing, it's propaganda; don't worry bout it.
