The redness was probably caused from excessive touching down there. Just think, in gay porn, how many scenes these people have had to film to produce the film itself. Think of what the people have done beforehand (anal stimulation, rim jobs, etc.) Anyway, I think that your anus would probably be okay if you had lube and have regular bowel movements. Irritation would only be an issue if you are stimulating yourself more than once a day I would think.
