Right now I'm into girls more.
Sometimes I'm into guys more.
I generally remain stable about my preferences (i.e. my type).
I always like both, though, and someone who is sufficiently attractive could "override" my preference at the time.

Tl;Dr, Sometimes I have mild swings, but I generally have the same preferences.

 

Yep! I regularly have these swings a few times a month, though it depends on a huge number of factors. Right now, I feel equally attracted to both men and women, but at the beginning of this month it was all guys all the time!

I don't think you should worry too much. And as time go on you might even find out if you have more of an attraction to one sex than the other.

 

I'm questioning right now just how bi I actually am (first time I'm admitting this publicly). I have just now come to accept that I'm bi and want to start meeting up with guys, and I have a sneaking suspicion that once I do that's the way I'll lean permanently, though not 100%.

 

I also wonder if I'll be actually gay once I get out and get some more experience with men ..... But I still find women and men attractive ...

 

I'm wondering the same too since i hadn't had a crush or been attracted to a guy in years I don't even have desires to have sex with them anymore just women

 

OP, your description matches my situation pretty closely. Though I wouldn't say it ever tilts more than 70%/30% in either direction, and the 'swings' can last as little as a few hours to as long as a number of weeks.

 

I remember the wide pendulum swings of desire. That was more in my high school days. I settled down into being attracted mostly to male-bodied people, though occasionally, I have strong attraction to female-bodied people.

This is normal and happens all the time,
Though usually such a swing doesn't "Override" the attraction to the other sex,
But rather just tilts it in that direction!

 

Yeah, attraction is fluid y'all.

 

Both sex with, mechanically, and relating to, on a practical everyday level, each of the genders has its pros and cons. These things are not that fluid, really. However, picking between these aspects is not easy and could be fluid.

I think many bisexuals tend to have those "swings". I've only rarely seen bisexuals with a 50/50 perference that always stays that way. Also, sexuality can be a very fluid thing depending on the person which would explain those swings.

 

I think it's pretty much more common to have swings in preference than to be 50/50 all the time

When I was younger, I fluctuated a lot. But the last few years it's been the ladies mostly.

 

I'm still in the "questioning" phase of determining my sexuality, and honestly this helped me a huge lot. I don't know anyone who is bisexual personally, and i thought the little flucuations and swings were just me being unsure or questioning or whatever. I didn't realize that it's normal…


I just wanted to say thanks, and yeah, I have it too. I can go days or even just weeks where I focus more on one gender than the other.

 

I've been on a 'gay kick' for a few months now. Who knows, I might end up leaning that way permanently. But for now, both genders have equal appeal.

 

Yeah, it's common. Add the fact that I'm still young with hormones flying all over the place, am more-or-less inexperienced in that department, and am interested in a certain someone, and it becomes a bit more nebulous.
