I'm sure for the majority of people mentioning myspace is like saying "remember when we used to take torches and drive wooly mammoths off a cliff for food?", but bear with me. Does anyone remember on myspace giving people virtual drinks? I have a friend and once discovered his old myspace page. On his page an older man had given him one of these. Was this considered flirting when it was popular? Back when I did this the only people who left these on my page were other gay men flirting with me and in real life "giving someone a drink" usually has connotations involving hitting on someone.
I think there are a myriad of reasons for virtual giving someone a drink. I'd say, definitely not enough information. Later
I did have (actually still do, but don't use it) a MySpace account. Never even heard of the drink thing though.
I don't remember that. I know MyYearbook (or as it's known now as MeetMe) used to have a thing where you could give gifts to people, and some of the options were drinks.
I never knew that was a thing on Facebook. I just remember doing bulletin board posts as that was the closest thing to a status update you could do at the time. I kinda miss that site. In it's 2005 or so incarnation, it was great for learning about up-and-coming bands.
