I'm (probably) gay but I only like straight porn?

Well, I find it hard to find tasteful gay porn, or gay porn of the demographic I like ("bears" in my case, heavy-set, hairy guys), I think maybe the reason you find straight porn better would be because it's probably the most common type, so pornographers are the most used to making that kind and it's not necessarily a matter of the people in it, but rather the way it's filmed and edited to a better production quality.

 

Ask yourself who you're watching when you watch straight porn. Whether it's the man or the woman, ask yourself why that's what you focus on. Your answers may tell you something about your sexuality.

In any case, remember that most porn, gay or straight, objectifies the people involved. It may work for getting off on, but it's not how real relationships work. So, I may be horny enough to use gay porn to get off, but I crave more emotional intimacy in a real relationship. And for me, the urge for real sex comes from a place of emotional intimacy.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of straight people who only get off on gay porn. What you like in pornography doesn't necessarily dictate what you like in an actual sexual relationship. For what it's worth, the majority of lesbian porn does nothing for me either.

 

I like straight porn only too. i laugh at lesbian porn and gay porn, i use to think the same thing but i dont think, its anything. i like it because it just gets to the point and its just more action haha.

 

Porn doesn't mean sexuality...most of the time. I'm a lesbian and I HATE lesbian porn. Straight porn is 'alright', but I strongly prefer guy on guy. I'm not attracted to the guys at all, I'm more so attracted to the motions and scenery. A lot of the time I dissociate from the visuals and pretend the actors are different people I would actually be attracted to. I don't need to be attracted to the PEOPLE to like porn, I just need to be attracted to the scenery. And the scenery in lesbian porn is usually awful, straight male dominated...there are some good lesbian erotica, but It's difficult to find.

Also I went through a period of only liking straight porn too. Definitely didn't make me straight. I always focused on the girl, and pretended I was the man in the situation.

It's all just fantasy anyway....doesn't have to apply to your real interests.

 

I think a better indicator would be to pay attention to fantasies, real life interests, and how you react in relationships, if you get the chance to be in them.

 

I'm gay and I mostly like straight porn. There's like one video I like with just women. The rest is all straight porn. Am I attracted to the man? Nope. Am I imagining myself as the woman? Nope. It's just the visuals that turn me on, so that doesn't mean I'm not gay. And it doesn't mean that you're not, either. It depends on why you like straight porn. But it doesn't really have to mean anything in terms of your sexuality.

That's odd. I don't really watch straight porn (when I did it was exclusively rear-end focused, not a fan of watching vaginal intercouse). Now it's mostly gay for me, bi on occasion. What makes you think you're gay if you only like straight porn?

lol, I've seen some that did the trick for me in the past. But I know "generally speaking" that the way men watch porn is different from the way women watch it. I think most guys want to get straight (no pun intended ) to the goods while most women like the build up and what happens before.

 

Yeah, that's probably why gay women tend to like other forms of porn more because they view sex differently and the good lesbian stuff is well...hard to find lol I've watched about three good ones, but a lot just seem like a straight man would get into it more.

With straight porn, there's more variety....and I can just pretend I'm the guy instead ;3

 

Yea figures. As far as straight porn goes there will always be more, but it's about quality not quantity . lol unfortunately you have yet to discover the treasure trove of quality!

 

Ok maybe it's just me but I like both lesbian and straight porn depending on what I'm in the mood for. Male gay porn does little for me but I don't think the type of porn you watch has anything to do with you're sexuality. I haven't had sex yet but for me lesbian porn is about as realistic as the straight porn I see so... I hope this answers you're question. Damn now I'm horny.
