trans-sexual or transsexual (pronounced "trans" then "sexual" its like how you can pronounce "read" two ways)

definition: somebody who has a sexual and romantic attraction/preference to trans people. trans-sexuals are not strictly attracted to trans people, but heavily prefer them over cis people.

    Mar 9th, 2013 Sydney Time Zone - I am a transsexual.

I hope one day a colloquial term emerges for my term. Something short like straight and gay.

I think it works. The only problem I see with it is that it could easily be confused with "transexual" in conversation. And speaking as a trans person, I actually don't have a preference for either trans people or cis people. They're all the same to me, really.

They already HAVE a word for it. "Transphilia" as in -philia being a suffix meaning "tendency towards a given thing" and trans meaning trans. Or failing that phallophilia considering the content of that other thread...

Transphilia sounds gross though, couldn't it sound prettier like transy or something?

There I looked it up...the proposed term is:

"Gynandromorphophilia" in other words attraction to women with the sexual characteristics of men.

It may not sound pretty but it's accurate.

And I'm just sitting here trying to pronounce trans and sexual different ways and failing. This is my life now.

i agree with JustJade that it can easily be confused with "transexual" in conversation. for that reason i don't think it will work.

Could you also have "Androgynemorphophilia?" Did I mess up the roots somewhere?

That would even sound weird as gynandromorphs in the animal kingdom are a literally symmetrical half-male, half-female in terms of physical characteristics
