Hi everyone, I wanted to ask is it possible to turn gay ? Or is it rather just a realisation ? I thought I was straight for my whole life, had fantasies about girls, having a family with them, being romantic, having great time with each other. Sometimes had ideas of kissing a guy, but didn't give that thought much attention, just thought to myself "that is weird". Anyways I am 22 experiencing serious thoughts that I might have turned gay.I am a virgin,Had a girlfriend was really attracted to her ( didnt have sex though). Broke up because i couldn't handle her sexual past? I watched only straight porn. I just woke up one day thinking that i am gay, started looking for signs in my past, found a couple. I mean it didnt passed my mind that I am gay and now i am obsessed with the thought that I am gay. Used to find girls attractive, wanted to have romantic and sexual relationships with them ( no fantasies with guys though) now I dont they all seem the same to me, whereas guys seem to be more interesting to me. Then again had no such feelings before. Is it possible that it just strikes your mind that you are gay and you believe it ? If a person tells himself long enough that he is gay will he become one ? Can a really bad break up and a complete change of perspective towards woman make you realise that you are gay ? Now when I am trying to imagine myself with a woman and i will know for sure that had sex, did oral it bothers me to the roof, would bother if a guy would have had sexual experience. Used to like boobs and V's now i find them repulsive. I am experiencing a serious identity crisis where i dont even know who i am. Your insights and help would be much appreciated Thank you very much
You don't TURN gay. Maybe the bad breakup has turned you off of women for a while. Maybe you need to try dating a guy for a while and see if it feels right.
Sexuality can be fluid, it's a continual process of discovery that doesn't have to be completely settled all the time. But you'll like who you'll like. This can be a good time to be open-minded and do some exploring, find out what you want.
