Is this true for gay guys on here?

If you are gay male apparantly your index finger is the same length (if not longer) than your ring finger. Uou have to measure to the millimeter with a ruler from the bottom crease where it meets the palm to the very tip of each finger.

Straight guys apparently have their ring fingers a few millimeters longer than their index fingers.

Lesbians (especially butch) thend to have a masculine ratio where the ring is longer than the index.

You need to measure this and cant tell by looking because depending ont he way you hold your hand or fingers it can make your index fingers look shorter or longer than the ring fingers.

Did you measure to the millimeter with a ruler?

My ring finger is sliiightly longer than my index finger, so I see some truth in this, maybe? I'd need to find a ruler though.

EDIT: Looks like that's an optical illusion; they're evidently the same length using a ruler? ._. It's hard to measure.

My ring finger is about 4 mm longer than my index finger. But what about other sexualities except for homosexuality and heterosexuality? Do asexuals not have fingers at all?

Had a laugh at this, haha.

My ring finger and index finger are almost exactly the same length, though...

According to The New England Journal of Medicine, with research corroborated by The Journal of the American Medical Association, the answer to this question is: "p-probably?"

Can you make sure you are measuring with a ruler please and not just looking down trying to make a judgement.

If you search the forums this has popped up a few times before... It always seems to be a good guess, but there always seem to be outlying cases....

Well that's a relief. Here I was, unsure if I'm gay or bi or something else. I was also kinda worrying about coming out. Yet finally, this finger test has proven that I'm straight. Time to bring on the hookers!!! (&&&)

Haha. Ditto. But not by much, in terms of millimeters. There is also talk about left handedness and a hair whorl, something I had never even heard of before. I'm right handed and I get cowlicks that tell me it's time to get a haircut, but I don't know if those are whorls or not. That's a great word. It reminded me of a whirlpool.

I'm not biting on this. Physical characteristic tests for who is gay? Let's face it. For some people, their basic appearance is too much of a giveaway. For others who "pass," how long they look is the main indicator.

According to this theory, I'm just a straight guy who happens to find certain guys cute and alluring, and wants to make passionate love to them while looking deeply into their eyes. Well I'm glad that's all been sorted out

The whorl thing is the place on the back of your head where your hair spirals, if your hair spirals counter clockwise you're supposedly more likely to be gay (the instance of counter clockwise whorls is higher in gay people than the general population)

My ring finger is longer than my index (I measured with a ruler don't worry). So I'm either a lesbian or a straight man... I'd be interested to know if the whole "higher levels of testosterone" thing has anything to do with being trans.

It isn't true 100% of the time, but there's a statistically significant correlation borne out by scientific research into the subject.

Nope, doesn't work for me.

Edit: It's very close to being even, but my index finger is the slightest bit longer.
