Question for all: Dating/Relationships or Hookups?

Just want to get a general idea of what's out there. I know my scope is limited to those that are on this site, read my thread, and bother to answer, but its something, and I'd appreciate your feedback. Just curious.

Are you aware that transgender people can be both trans, and have a gender, and that most won't appreciate being forced to define themselves as trans in that way, and that furthermore, not everyone has a binary gender?

 

I'm sure in many cases is not as simple as prefering one over the other, because it also depends on qnother question with is 'with whom' many hopeless romantics in search for theirs soulmate, might have hookups with people they find attractive, and they might remain doing that until they find the so searched soulmate.

 

I'm sorry I din't mean to offend anyone. I am aware of the complexities and varieties surrounding transgender identity, but for simplicities sake I decided to put the options as is. The poll isn't mean to get a definitive statistic on all LBGTQA members, rather a general idea. I knew just making the poll would inevitably miss people, identities, etc, but I din't want to overcomplicate it. I apologize if I offended you or anybody else.

Anyone is welcome to comment with their own answer if they do not feel that one of the poll options fits them. I appreciate the feedback and all people's opinions. (&&&)

 

But why put the transgender option in at all? Why categorise us as men and women?

 

Relationships, without a doubt. I don't have anything against anyone that hooks up with people, but that's just not me...

 

Monogamous relationships. That's what I'm used to. That's what I like. That's what follows my spiritual beliefs. I think it's okay for others to have hookups if they're careful.

 

Ha I couldn't have said it better myself. I think I would prefer an open relationship which in essence is a combination of the two.

 

I think they both have their pluses and I enjoy both of them. I've been in a relationship now for 16 years and it really is amazing. But for many years before that I dated around rather extensively with a heavy splash of hookup sex thrown in and it was--wonderful. Fact of the matter is--my partner started out as a hookup. We knew it was something more almost immediately but we both went into it thinking it was a hookup.

 

I hate dating.

I generally dislike hookups.

I like relationships.

 

I have a transman's heart but am genderfluid in body.
Dating seems tedious but I think worth the effort..eventually. And I do like relationships. Hookups just aren't my thing.

 

i prefer casually dating women rather than being in a relationship tbh.

 

I simply wanted to include a trans option. I felt that it is important to include a variety of members of the spectrum and I'm sorry if you felt like my options were ignorant. I'm not trans, so I don't have extensive knowledge about trans identities, but i have some trans friends and I wanted to make my poll more inclusive. Thats all.
