Hi I'm confused about whether I'm lesbian or just not given men much of a chance.
Im sixteen and have done little things with boys but havnt ever really felt anything with them.
I do watch lesbian porn and can easily see myself with a women in a relationship. I havnt kissed a women yet, I do find myself looking at women and I do find them very attractive. I think I find me being gay easy to except because I have a lot of gay friends men and women. Do you think I should carry on trying with men or just give up with them.

Hi, I'm sixteen and I think I may be a lesbian. I havnt kissed a girl yet but I have strong attractions to women. I've only kissed men and other stuff but didn't feel anything with them at all. Do you think I jus havnt given men a chance but I first pulled a boy when I was seven I know it's young. I want to be sure before I start experimenting because I feel like I really want with women but if I'm not then I don't want to give the wrong impression on that person. And most of my friends are gay male ans female do you think that could have something to do with it?? Thank you any advice information or criticism is much appreciated xx

Hello! Welcome to the forum  Lets see if I can give you some help with your question.

I think the fact you find women sexually and emotionally attractive is a good indication you might be bisexual or lesbian, but I think you've figured that out already! So your question is: do you like boys too, or are you just inexperienced when it comes to them?

How do you think you feel about boys? You said you haven't kissed a girl yet but you know you find them attractive. You don't necessarily need to experience sex with someone to understand your sexual orientation. Do you find men attractive at all sexually or romantically? If the answer is no, then you could explore the idea that you are lesbian! However, I will say that you are still young and that maybe you shouldn't 'give up' on anything yet. Keep an open mind and follow your heart towards what, and who, makes you happy! That usually clears things up.

As for you worried you have gay feelings, just because your friends are gay, it doesn't work like that. :icon_wink I don't believe your sexuality can be influenced like that- otherwise I would have been turned straight a long time ago by all my straight friends!

Don't put pressure on yourself to be "100% sure" of anything right now. My advice is to trust your own feelings and be who you want to be with. I hope this helps!

    Hi,

You don't need to be in a rush to know if you are a lesbian or not. Coming out takes a lot of time, and even after that you might be unsure of some things.
I'm 23 and started coming out at 21, which means i'd been with men for a long time, but never really had a strong connection or sexual attraction. It took me some time to kiss a girl before i was sure it was my thing. And still struggling with coming out sometimes.

You are only 16. That's when you are discovering your sexuality. So don't be too nervous about it. Look at women, realize if you are attracted to them. That doesn't mean you don't like men, though. Maybe you are bi and feel - even just little - attracted to men. You don't need to cross men out of your list.

As Spartan said, follow your heart. Doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl or whatever orientation the person identifies him/herself.
Take it easy and just enjoy being attracted to People.

I like to follow a "I like who I like" sexuality. So far all of these people are female but as far as I see it there's no desperate need to define yourself. If you're attracted to a woman, great, if you're attracted to a man, great.
