Used to think I was Bi, now thinking I may be gay!

I am ever so slightly very drunk at the time of writing this, so apologies for any mistakes.

I dunno what I am anymore. I thought I was bi for a bit, but the term never really seemed right to me. So, at the mo mo, I'm on the fence on this issue - am I bi, or gay and going through the bargaining phase?

I guess I've had crushes on both genders, more on women than men, but I've lately come to realize/think that my crushes on guys were somehow much stronger.

That feeling of butterflies in the chest, excited knot in the stomach e.c.t. that usually signifies strong attraction? As far as I can remember, I've only really felt that way towards guys. My crushes on girls seem very superficial by comparison, like they were more forced. Sure, I found them very attractive and sexy, but I wasn't really interested in them as people, and I never tried to get into a relationship with them.

Um... there's this guy I really like. We were walking in opposite directions in our A2 Level Maths class. We nearly walked into each other, and our faces came veeery close together. A jolt of excitement went through me of a kind I can't remember feeling before.
Now, when I once kissed this one girl I thought I was attracted to, I didn't feel anything like that intensity of emotion. It was rather dull in comparison.

As for pornography (an inaccurate thing, I know) - I can 'get off' on both straight and gay pornography, but I find erections much easier to get when watching gay porno.
As in, they happen very naturally, whereas I only get them to straight porn if I'm actively trying to do so.
Does this mean guys arouse me a lot more than women? I certainly seems that way to me.

I've also had some limited experience with both genders in a sexual sense:
The woman I did some things with - I couldn't stay aroused (just call me Mr Floppy :/)
The man I did some things with - found it very erotic, but I can't remember much more than that.

It's just... how can I be gay? There were all these girls I was attracted to! Yet those attractions seem superficial by comparison.

Again, I must apologize for any mistakes made when writing this. Um, my memory of my past isn't the greatest thing in the world, so if this conflicts with anything I've said on this forum before - you know why.

Wanted to ask - in your humble opinion, what the hell actually am I?

Haha, I'm afraid no-one here can really tell you what your sexuality is. There's such a broad range of sexuality, and you could fall anywhere on the spectrum. My advice is not to worry too much about what label you put on your sexuality - just trust your instincts and find whatever - and whoever - makes you happy. That's always a good place to start.

If I was to take a wild stab in the dark at putting a label on your sexuality, from what you've said - that you still find girls 'attractive and sexy' but you find your experiences with men more intense - I would lean towards Bi(or Pan, of course)sexual but with a strong preference for men. However, if 'bisexual' never sat right with you, and you only really want to pursue relationships with men, maybe the gay label is right for you! Really though - the label doesn't matter, as long as you're happy.

What you identify as, if at all, is completely up to you and you have to feel comfortable with it.

People really need to stop using porn to figure out their sexuality .
Well don't worry about labels for now just go with the flow .
I'm lesbian and get off more to gay porn than lesbian porn . It's not the best tool .
You should keep your focus on what happens when your not watching porn like in the real world .

No one can really tell you what your sexuality is; it's something you're going to have to figure out yourself, and it can take a while-and even at that point, it's not set in stone. I thought I was straight for about eighteen years, and then I realized I was attracted to girls, so I started identifying as bi. Now I'm realizing that I'm pretty sure I'm only attracted to women, and I'm most likely gay. It's confusing and stressful at times-just use whatever label feels right to you and be honest with yourself.

Word. Not many people realize how inaccurate porn is to your orientation, even I didn't realize that.

    To OP:
I got hooked onto porn for 6 years. You DO NOT want to be in my position. Do you know how annoying it is to have these sexual thoughts about guys all the time? I can rarely look at a person for who they are. I may have HOCD but that's besides the point. When you try to clash fantasy with reality, that's when you know you're addicted to porn.

I actually have the feeling that this is what happened between me and women. I only had crushes and feelings for guys, then I started watching far, far too much straight porn for my own good. Could this have caused my superficial attraction to girls? Because, as far as I can remember, it didn't exist before.

You mentioned that your attraction to older men may be a product of your addiction to porn?

Do you think this can work in reverse? Like, I have only ever really felt emotional attraction to guys, and I originally only crushed on them.

I then started watching far, far too much straight pornography (even though I didn't really like it). I believe that this may have caused my superficial, wholly sexual attraction to girls. When I actually went through a sexual act with a girl, I couldn't stay aroused, so I'm beginning to believe it may be an aftereffect of all of the porn.
Not to mention that looking at a picture of a naked woman doesn't actually arouse me in the slightest, only a picture of a naked man does.
Also, all of the features I find sexy in girls are classical porn-star features (e.g: huge arse). Could my feelings in this regard be related to porn abuse?
