There was a article in my school magazine about what some students thought about gay marriage being recently legalized in Virginia, I though this was a little interesting: 71% supported the legalization of gay marriage 13% identified as anything other then heterosexual 77% thought that my school is accepting of their sexual orientation 64% have witnessed discrimination or felt a dislike of homosexuals 55% think sexual orientation is a choice 85% said they would not change their opinion if someone close to them came out as homosexual .5% said they didn't really care I thought this was a little funny considering most people I talk to at my school are extremely homophobic.
I've said this elsewhere - NH is ridiculous in its acceptance. In the exit polling from the election we just had... 77 percent of NH supports gay marriage - more than students in Virginia... a majority of every age group supports gay marriage here too and about 90 percent of people under 30. And I've never seen or witnessed homosexual discrimination.
