suddenly started questioning my sexuality. confused

    I am 22, male university student. Up until this point in my life I have identified as heterosexual, and never really had any thing cause me to question that, until now.

    I was at a party last night and met a man, and quickly I realised I was attracted to them. this is the first time in my life iv been attracted to another man and It has taken me by surprise a little bit. I'm crushing really hard and don't know what to do about it :icon_redf.

    anyone with similar experiences or advice?

    maybe. Maybe. I do really like this person, but I guess it could just be a personal anomaly?

    well he was fun, we had a laugh, nice to talk to, similar interests and all that sort of thing. But I am very definitely sexually attracted as well, which is something I'v never felt before, but I am. he makes my heart rate spike.

    You could be not straight, but it's pretty normal to get crushes that are not the gender you normally like.

    I think Bi would be more likely. As I am still attracted to women. and no other men but him. but i'm more attracted to him than any women atm? Regardless of labels though its all kinda sunk in now and Im just interested to see what happens :slight_smile:

    To be honest, bi is a stretch for now. This is an incidental homosexual event and I understand where you are coming from. You really cannot identify your sexual identity based upon one crush. Pete Townsend said the only guy he would sleep with would be Mick Jagger but Pete Townsend does not identify within the LGBTQ openly. This could be a one-off deal but do you have sexual fantasies of giving oral sex, anal sex or any other sexual act with this man?

    yes, yes I do have those thoughts. frequently.I have found myself becoming highly aroused thinking about him.
    I think you might be right. I do want to experiment though, figure out if it is just a one off thing or something more
