Why do a lot of gay bears have their septums (bullring) pierced?

    I was well... Watching some porn and I noticed a large amount of gay "bears" have their noses peirced with a bullring. Why is this? Is it just a culture thing? Is it a secret code so people know they are bears? Clue me in on this I'm curious.

    I don't think its *that* common, however it plays into a lot of animalistic themes *certain* bears in porn have, pigs and bulls and grunting like an animal while having sex.
    I would not say it is a 'bear' thing at all though.

    Septum piercings are 'common' with a lot of genres of people. Women and men.

    Not sure, but it probably adds to the whole fantasy thing. Those guys are hot though, especially the guys in Where the bears are, damn!

    I would assume it's a porn thing, but it was amateur porn on Tumblr, so these are not really porn stars.
