I don't know if it will help, because I'm not religious personally, but I have hindu parents, who hold similar beliefs towards the LGBT community (although Muslims aren't allowed to be homophobic and Hindus most definitely are). I can't personally speak about my feelings contradicting my faith, but if you ever want to talk about coming out to your parents feel free to talk to me
Please keep in mind that islam condemns homosexuality.. hindu scriptures do not contain any explicit referral to homosexuality at all.
Perhaps the scriptures themselves don't explicitly state anything, but Hindu culture is predominantly homophobic. So most Hindus are homophobic.
